about

FREE Through FEBRUARY 4TH!
I wrote this song soon after moving to Boston when i was around twenty, before the Wild Stares were formed. Steve remembered the song and insisted we put together a recording. Steve produced the track and played 98 % of the instruments including the great guitar solo.

lyrics

Sitting on the Plaza
words and music by Justin Burrill (Crabble Duro, BMI)

Sitting on the plaza,
Waiting for the rain,
Hot gray summer day

So quiet for the city,
Hear the air conditioners breathing
On the top of the hotel

The small birch are waving
And the flags are fluttering,
It all makes me smile

'Cause I don't have a thing to do
And I don't have to go anywhere today,
Today

The couple near by
Move the water with their feet
And talk of Marilyn's baby
The pigeon stood so close,
The girl gave us a smile,
It was all that I could hope.

I guess we could have talked,
Even for a while,
But I never even thought

'Cause I don't have a thing to do
And I don't have to go anywhere today,
Today

'Cause I don't have a thing to do
And I don't have to go anywhere today,
Today
Today
